Hobovan Journal, entry dated 6/8/02
Another lazy day spent playing disc golf. Seems this game has a spiritual component, if you let it. The main challenges: concentrating, letting go of bad shots, letting go of good shots, taking one hole at a time... all seem to be good metaphors for life in general:

Chains hang limply,
Catipillar yellow,..
Atomized grass blades
hunch over their work.
The hush of dried leaves
drives thoughts from my mind.
I move without intention;
or should I say
-- something moves me.
